Description:

Bright green, thin-bodied snake. Approximately 18 inches long.

Habitat:

Coastal. On ground under a shrub.

Notes:

Spotted on the ground under a shrub on a residential lot on the Atlantic Ocean. Virginia Herpetology's website says: "Other common names Bush snake, grass snake, green summer snake, green tree snake, green whip snake, huckleberry snake, keel-scaled green snake, magnolia snake, vine snake."
