Slaty- and Spangled Skimmer dragonflies (males)

A pair of Skimmer dragonflies: a Slaty Skimmer dragonfly (Libellula incesta), shown upper-left, highlighted in black; a Spangled Skimmer dragonfly (Libellula cyanea), shown lower-right, highlighted in blue. The Slaty Skimmer has black pterostigmas located on the leading edge of all four wings, toward the wingtips; the Spangled Skimmer has black and white pterostigmas located on the leading edge of all four wings, toward the wingtips.
