Field Notes

Description:

A degu is a small rodent, with yellow brown fur, and black eyes. It has a long thin tail, with a little tuft at the end. The degu has larger hind feet than the front feet, and it hops.

Habitat:

Degus live in burrows, and often forage for food on the surface. They are from Chile. They are highly social, and even nurse each others young.

Notes:

These are rare rodents, and very hard to find in pet stores, but I've got a couple for pets.
