Description:

Found these when we went to a newly found spot to harvest a Sulfur Shelf (Chicken of the woods). They are growing on a dead oak, in the moss. Very tiny little fuzzy topped mushrooms with white stems and flesh.

You can see in pic #3 just how small they are, this is my hubby's finger in comparison.

Habitat:

Mixed conifer and hardwoods, lots of underbrush and clay soil

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Armillaria_sp_Marriott_edit.jpg This is a picture of Armillaria Hinulea which is very similar... the only problem is that this grow in Australia and New Zealand.
