Field Notes

Description:

Lots of insects on the goldenrod. Unknown moth and fly. Fly possibly a Tachinid Fly - Trichopoda pennipes. They love flowers

Habitat:

Meadow in the Poconos. Most of my photos were taken in an approximately 2 acre meadow on our property. It has 8 paths, 1/3 mile long. I only planned it for exercise and getting so much more.

Notes:

I hope this is correct for the Ladybug project. If not, please let me know. Thank you!

I think there is another Tachinid fly in this photo. Extremely small 1/4 inch, possibly Trichopoda pennipes. A beautiful little thing.
