Field Notes

Description:

Flat, fan-shaped cap that was cream-yellow in color with brownish yellow around the margin. Pores were orange-brown, and the stipe was off center and black.

Habitat:

It was growing on a branch (dead) in a deciduous forest.

Notes:

This species was formerly in the genus Polyporus, but was moved to Cerioporus in 2016.
