Notes:

I came across this young toad with his tongue sticking out. I wonder if he got stung by a reluctant potential snack?

Congratulations Cheryl, this spotting is featured in the Project Noah blog! http://blog.projectnoah.org/post/31338827536/lets-talk-scientific-classification
I watched a frog in one of my classroom aquariums several years ago, attempt to swallow a minnow swimming in the lower part of the habitat and the minnow was as big as the frog, so it swallowed it, and the tail stuck out for about an hour, then the frog spit it back up. There was a film that came up with it. The fish was dead, and the frog died later that week. I presumed from infection.
Or he was being rude to you!
