Field Notes

Description:

Gray/brown bird with black across the face at the eye. Breast is light colored. Tail has black and white stripes/spots.

Habitat:

Looking for bugs under dead Red Gum leaves on an aloe plant in backyard.

Notes:

I was standing still looking for insects in a bush when I heard something rummaging around in dry leaves. This pretty bird popped out, looked at me and decided I wasn't a threat. It hopped around from leaf to leaf looking for bugs.
