Field Notes

Description:

Green thallus with white isidia. Tasting the soralia is oddly the quickest way to identify the species... it has a bitter taste (but I didn't try this for myself). I will have to go back and taste. Pertusaria albescens looks similar but is not bitter.

Habitat:

Pine tree in a pine forest
