Field Notes

Description:

At one point this summer, I could easily count about 100 of these spiders many with almost identical coloring, shape, and size, however, after a while I began to tell them apart. Subtle differences. (Only count 4 on November 9) - Two of the 4 spiders were in this position which is very odd to see. Only 2 1/2 inches about including legs. (aka Banded Garden Spider)

Habitat:

Meadow in the Poconos
