Ruddy turnstone
Arenaria interpres
40.172, -8.8953
Field Notes
Description:
Around 25cm long (tail to head) with bright orange short legs and long black beak. White belly and brown and grey upper part. Like the name suggests, it was turning stones and pecking them for food, ignoring nearby swimmers.
Habitat:
Rocky part of the beach.
Notes:
Found when I went to the beach, while playing on the rocks. I apologize for the shaky video, but being in water without a tripod and with too much zoom does that, heh.
