Thanks, Craig. I'll look into it further. A friend that's an orchid fancier led me to oncidium; he'll be interested in the info too.
Expanded the last comment to a bit more specific!
I doubt if this is a species. It looks like a hybrid, possibly intrageneric of the kind they call Cambria in the trade, and closer to Odontoglossum than Oncidium.
