This is such an enlightening picture; you really get how the bird sees its dinner.

I do but this is the best. My brown pelican eating my camera Was taken at the same location.

he/she was standing on the edge of a roof and I was on the ground looking up. kind of like a fish-eye view... ;)

thanks everyone. I was actually very disappointed with the photo because of the dust on my sensor that is highly visible with the blue sky background but the angle IS unique so that's why I posted it
What a terrific photo!! Amazing angle.
yeah, no one really realizes that the bird probably looks straight down without seeing it's own beak.
last thing a fish sees...didn't realize the eyes were angled down like this
