Field Notes

Description:

Its a medium large parrot. It is about 27 cm long and they are mainly green with a blue head and neck, and red under tail feathers. They are noisy birds and make light, high-pitched squeaking sweenk calls.

Habitat:

Its habitat is forest and semi-open country, including cultivated areas in tropical and subtropical South America and southern Central America, from Costa Rica, Venezuela and Trinidad south to Bolivia and Brazil.

Notes:

A month ago I heard a strange call outside, I took my binoculars and saw 13 Blue-headed parrots flying! I didn't know I could see them in my neighborhood. I haven't had the time to photographed them, but few mins ago I heard that call again and tried to photographed one of them, it was kind of impossible, but I want to show you I can see Blue-headed parrots here!
