Thanks Craig, Most of Peru is very arid. However, there are numerous rivers which are spawned by snow melts throughout the year. Inevitably, over a very long time, pueblos spawned around the rivers and the water is used to irrigate crops, for animals, and human consumption. This plant was located in the town square.
