Field Notes

Description:

On July 28th as I was about to cut down the Tropical Pokeweed, Phytolacca, icosandra, in the garden, I found this worm/caterpillar like creature, it crawled side to side lifting the top of the body, the pink side would elongate come down and go forward. Picture #1 and #2

Notes:

On August 7th, they were strongly stuck to the branches or the leaves of the plant, they felt very hard to the touch. Picture #3 and #4.
On August 16th, there was only the empty shell, even though I was checking every day, I did not get to see what came out....Picture #5 and #6
