Field Notes

Description:

Tiny, adorable yellow duckling now nearly grown up that looks just like her mom.

Habitat:

Spotted swimming in pond with her family in Escondido, California.

Notes:

This little one is the only surviving duckling out of the three that hatched. She has grown big and healthy and has 3 adults to look after her as well as us humans. When she was this little, she would throw up and shake it around in defense against us when we would hold her. Unfortunately none of the ducks really like to be held but some can be hand fed and sometimes pet.
