Field Notes

Description:

There lots of them growing on a road leading to a stretch of Gulf beach. It was beautiful when they were all in bloom. Can the same species produce different color flowers, or would these have to be more than one species mixed in, I wonder.

Habitat:

southern tip of Texas at the Gulf of Mexico, near the beach, semi-tropical climate
