Description:

Evergreen bush with white flowers of four. Leaves are long and oval with a blue-green color. This looks like Bush Rue - Cneoridium dumosum but the bloom period is supposed to be Feb - May. Help with ID appreciated.

Habitat:

Mixed Chaparral at San Pasqual Clevenger Trail

I think you are correct Cindy, flowers can and will bloom out of season, due to many reasons.
