Unknown possibly Meadow or another type of Fritillary. Last close-up of wing might help ID. Wow, so many look so alike.

Nice series! From the markings on this I am pretty sure this is a Variegated fritillary (Euptoieta claudia) - check out photos 5 & 9 on this link http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Euptoieta-claudia which show similarly dark patterned individuals.

It looks a lot like the Great Spangled Fritillary. Still unsure.
