Field Notes

Notes:

This is a fossil that I came across while hunting for fossils in Trichi, Tamil Nadu. I was really amused by this small wonder, and I took it along with me. I did some research and found out that it is a Crinoidean stem. The experts there did not have any idea that it belonged to an pretty, old little sea lilly. They didn't think it was very important. Now this is one of the favourite gems in my collection.
