Field Notes

Description:

Another photo from Murray Cooper. This male was, brilliantly, photgraphed mid-display, when a few get together in a sort of mini-lek. We can hear them almost everyday, just down from the lodge. A much-drabber female flew in through the window of the lodge a couple of weeks ago!

Habitat:

Cloud Forest. Foothills and lower subtropical forest. In Ecuador they're found on the Wesern Slopes, but I'm sure someone else will know their global range.
