Description:

Perennial evergreen herb growing in my lawn.

Habitat:

Suburban yard, beneath a dogwood tree.

Yes, it does pretty well in my yard. It helps that our landlady hasn't put any weedkiller on the yard in decades, so we have more diversity in our lawn than most yards in our area. I've seen it growing in the forests near here too, but kept forgetting to take photos of it there.
Looks like it's happy in the sun. I have only seen it growing in the forests up here in Connecticut.
