Field Notes

Description:

These were just babies. They had just hatched from nests on Sedge Island in the Barnagat Bay. They measured only an inch and one half in length.

Habitat:

Estuaries, bays, marshes.

Notes:

A notch was cut from the edge of the still soft shell, this was so that scientists could know which one was which. Other data was collected from them too.
