Description:

Ostracods are tiny crustaceans, sometimes known as seed shrimp. Some live in salt water and others, like these, in fresh water. Different types have different diets, but these seem to be scavengers. Each one is less than 2mm long.

That's cool! I've never noticed them while in that area. Thanks for sharing.
Stagnant water alongside a stream. But I've also seen them in ponds and cattle wallows in that area. :)
Based on the map location, I'm guessing this is a fresh water crustacean. Was this in a pond?
