Thai/Asian rice

Rice planting is well under way here in Khanom. These bundles of young plants are grown nearer to the homes of the planters and then brought to the fields once the land has been prepared. I love coming to this area early morning, just sitting under one of the temporary bamboo salas and watching the day unfold. There is so much wildlife here and everytime I come I find something new and exciting, so that is why there are so many new spottings on my Project Noah
The people planting the rice are real characters too, unfortunately I don't speak very much Thai but a smile can say a lot : )
