Field Notes

Description:

What at first I thought was a bit of trash or fuzz stuck to my shirt turned out to be this well-camouflaged little insect. I have no idea where he came from; he moved slowly across my shirt until I scooped him off with a napkin and set him on the ground.

Habitat:

This guy appeared in a cheap, open-air diner on one of the main roads in the older parts of the big city of Cartagena.
