Field Notes

Habitat:

wetland reserve

Notes:

It was not possible to get closer as the whole lake and reed-bed area has been fenced off for protection and there were even armed guards patrolling the area. The houses built round the area outside the fence are then fenced in themselves and entry just to view the lake from a distance is restricted.

I've never seen one of these before, but the black neck collar is clear. Well spotted!
