Field Notes

Description:

Clusters of small mushrooms on deadwood. Caps are cream/white to blush and slightly slick/moist Some caps have a slight indentation towards their centers. Undersides have white gills, and the stipes are white to blush and fairly smooth. Any help with a species level ID is appreciated! I tried to get several photos in different lighting as the color was difficult to pick up deep in the woods that day!

Habitat:

growing on highly decayed wood (along with moss) in a dense mixed hardwood/pine forest in Northwest Georgia (Gordon County), US--back in September
