Description:

This is a conk type fungus that was found today along the coastal mountain range. As you can see, it's snow white on the underside, brown on top... but it has this strange growth on back of it. It isn't slime as it looks, the red on back side is also solid and quite firm.

The conk its self was a bit soft and easily bruised, the top cracked with a soft touch... you can see the "finger prints" on top.

Habitat:

Coastal conifer forest, on a fallen fir tree

Looks very correct, but the Ganoderma adspersum says it grows in Europe...
