Notes:

I photoed the leaves; but realized the leaves belonged to a vine, perhaps parasitic. ...I think Livan (below) is right, in that this tree is an older version of itself.

Thanks Livan! I had not heard of the Hercules Club tree. Google shows Hercules Club with pointed protrusions and spikes. This tree seems to have wider/lateral protrusions, and no spikes.
I think that may be an old dry Hercules Club tree. Google images and see what you think.
