Field Notes

Description:

Long green reptile with black rings on the tail, and yellow-orange highlights on the claws, face and belly areas.

Habitat:

First sighted running across a grass clearing with a few trees in it. A group of children in the Botanical Garden spotted it and ran towards it, at which point this iguana scrambled up into the tree where you see him here. The air is warm, but too high in altitude to feel tropical.

I've seen him too, but I've never been able to get a clear shot of him. Thanks for posting!
