Field Notes

Description:

You may have to stare for a minute, but the rabbit is there. It is brown with darker ears and tail. Very skittish.

Habitat:

Joshua Tree National Park. Desert - arid, sparsely vegetated, not many people. Everything was in such a tan and brown shade of color that this rabbit blended right in and my companion had to point at it for quite a while before I could pick it out.
