Awesome spotting!
Hi Jessy, Nice spotting! I'm starting a birds of New Zealand mission to document biodiversity within New Zealand. (http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/12520214) It would be wonderful if you would add your bird spottings to this mission and keep up the great posts. Cheers!
If you put in a place name the pin goes into a default position which is probably what has happened. You can go into "edit this spotting" (above your name) and move the pin about by right-clicking your mouse on it and dragging it to where you want. You may have gone to the same place we went to!
Yeah not sure why it shows that, it was near a nesting site in a sanctuary type place that my friend works at. The public could visit at certain times and for a fee.
Hi Jessy, your map pin shows this in Hooper's inlet some way from the coast. Was it actually seen from the viewing galleries on the South-east coast of the peninsular near the nesting site or was it near a public part of the coast?
Thanks, this one just came out of the water for the day. He is going to trade places with the female on the egg.
nice one Jessy !! where are the rest of them??
