I was thinking coast-plain goldenaster. here's a nice resource: http://www.floridasnature.com/index.htm
It's in the daisy family, Asteraceae, but I don't know if I can ID it more than that. I have a wild flower ID guide, but it's only for UK/European species. I'll check if anything matches when I get home, but for now that's as far as my plant ID skills go haha!
