Description:

Agoutis are important seed dispersers on the rain forest, they take seeds and bury some of them. When starving, they unearth some of the seeds, but they forget some, wich eventually grow as new trees.

Interesting. Agoutis are very common in Brazil. Actually, there are a lot of them roaming free on a beautiful square in downtown Rio de Janeiro. Not quite what you'd expect to find in a big city...
Hey Alice, I'll have a go. Agouti can refer to a number of different Sp. of rodent which are found in Central and South America as well as in the W.Indies. We see them on our camera traps mostly at night, but they are normally known as Diurnal (daytime) animals. They also have an amazing relationship with Brazil Nut Trees see the link. http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/object_apr99.html
Very nice picture! Wish there was something written. I don't understand what it is.
