Field Notes

Description:

Long considered a bamboo (many call it "Japanese bamboo") this plant is actually a member of the family Asparagaceae. Here it is fruiting. Note the "spotted" leaves.

Habitat:

This specimen is a potted plant, outdoors. The climate is equatorial/tropical.

Notes:

This is the same plant as in the previous spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7826019 that was flowering 4 months before.
