Field Notes

Description:

A tiny and wonderfully bizarre-looking hopper on a Hibiscus sp. leaf.

Habitat:

This spotting in a large semi-urban yard and garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.

Notes:

The insect hopped - shot is more like it - off when I tried to gain another angle.

Hello, I started a mission that focuses on the hoppers. I'm hoping it will global rather than just the 300 mile radius of where I'm at. Regardless, I'd really appreciate you adding your hopper spotting(s). http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8096480 Thank you!
The only thing that was identifiable was the trademark "Zing" when it shot off!
Wow, I can't even identify a single body part ! Not even a head, legs or abdomen.
Thanks very much all. I had a somewhat similar spotting here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7056632 but the photos weren't as clear.
look at how weirdness and beauty blend spectacularly...bizarre indeed...thx so much for sharing!
