Field Notes

Description:

Large red chrysalis with white foam all over. There are ridges on the outside including a center column resembling a spine. It was over 3 cm long!

Found on this bush: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7444084 at Lake Hodges trail

Me either other than someone else's spotting a while ago. I'm hoping to catch them emerging but I only walk there once a week.
