Field Notes

Description:

Prosoma yellow-brown, partly mottled with short dark stripes, margin with 3 blackish spots on each side. Chelicerae blackish, pro- and retromargin with 3 teeth (rarely 4 retromarginal teeth on one chelicera). Sternum light. Legs cream-coloured to brown with dark, broad annulations. Opisthosoma drab yellow, sometimes dorsum with indistinct dark markings.
Body length male: 7.3-9.5 mm, body length female: 11.5-16 mm.
The pictured male was spotted in Volos city, Greece.
