Habitat:

spotted under dead loquatin front yard

Notes:

I was in my yard watching the bees on the sunflowers when I heard the tell-tale sound of a squirrel gnawing a hickory nut. I turned to see this fellow busy with this large,old beef bone.

they chew on bones to get the calcium, and they need to chew to keep their teeth worn down
I hope he was getting something worthwhile. I think it would be hard work!
