Field Notes

Description:

A small sparrow with a tan streaked chest with a small black spot. The head has a white throat, tan stripes on either side of it, and dark stripes coming back from the eye and on the top of the head.

Habitat:

Came to the bird bath for a drink and to bathe in Palo Duro Canyon SP

Thank you, Tom! I was a treat watching this guy, larger birds kept trying to chase him away from the water, but he would instead chase them away. And he's so tiny, it was pretty funny to watch. Hopefully I get more chances to bird now that school stuff has calmed down some. And just wait til I start uploading stuff when I get back from Africa ;)
