Field Notes

Habitat:

The dryer treeless slopes adjacent to my son's property were completely covered by this plant. With grasses and wildflowers growing between them. Elevation 8,373 feet.

Notes:

I made no effort to photograph this plant in spite of it being one of the dominant plants in the landscape. I only have these pics because of the insects I was photographing. There were scattered plants on my sons property so I should have included them in my habitat description.
