Field Notes
Description:
Short, stocky plant with pointy leaves growing anywhere from ground level to waist high. Below the green leaves is a skirt of dead leaves.
Habitat:
The desert was hot and dry, though there had been snow the day before in the area. Unlike most other plants I saw, there was Mojave Yucca spread nearly everywhere - lower, higher, rock or former stream bed.
