Description:

All the colors and markings of a Giant Swallowtail except the little red spots, and the swallowtail.

Habitat:

Spotted in a small settlement known as La Prusia on the outskirts of Granada. It's a tropical region, lots of rain. The ground here sits under a mango tree, is often trampled by cows, and many a bug was feasting here.

There are two possibilities for this species First is a nymphalidae (Siproeta stelenes). This species has a mimic, heliconius (Philaethria dido) without the slightly longer tail projection. These are easily confused but I think it is the former.
