Description:
Large furry pink caterpillar possibly a tussock moth. It has sewn three leaves togther to make itself a shelter.
Notes:
Confirmation as a tussock moth as its next molt (pic3,pic4) reveals its four sets of "toothbrush" bristles. It has now pupated into a loose bundle of spines and silk. Watch this space.
Update Feb 24. 2012 the female wingless moth emerged (see pic 5).
