Description:

Plants approximately 2 feet tall, with basal leaves, and leaves along the stem; dichotomously branched clusters of flowers at their tips
Flowers ca. 0.75 inches across; radially symmetrical; shiny yellow petals; ring of yellow stamens surround a central cluster of light green pistilsl; sepals yellow; spreading, 4-6mm long;
Leaves simple; basal and alternate; palmate with 3 lobes with secondary lobes that have acute tips

Habitat:

Growing in grass by the roadside
