Punctelia Fungi
40.8733, -75.5975
Field Notes
Description:
As beautiful as a flower, this unknown fungi is blue, green and white. Approximately 3 inches long and very fragile. Could be a type of Punctelia. But many different similar kinds such as subrudecta, rudecta, caseans, and graminicola. It even looks similar to Net-marked lichen (parmelia sulcata)
Habitat:
Woodlands in the Poconos
Notes:
I like the little "tree and leaf" growing out of the dead log. There was lichen and moss all over the log. This lichen was attached to some leaves making it all airy underneath. Very thin and fragile.
