It has some obvious apparently beneficial qualities, like many invasive plants. Unfortunately, its appeal to pollinators and seed dispersers is one of the things that makes it so successful and increases its range. Everywhere it grows is somewhere a native Indian plant would have been, which will be pushed into ever smaller populations. The insects that would have depended on those plants aren't likely to fare too well either.
Was this in a garden Karan, or somewhere uncultivated? I know this plant has a tendency to become an invasive weed and I'm curious how far it has spread.
