Description:

Handsome and very distinct yellow/ green colored toad - probably a male of the species Incilius luetkenii (Bufo). Approximately 8 cm.

Habitat:

Costa Rica, Nicoya Peninsula near the Karen Mogensen Reserve. Transitional dry to humid tropical forrest at ~ 200 MASL; alongside a year-round stream. Very noticeable because of its distinct coloration.

Notes:

Possibly early in the mating season as I did not see any females.
